Paul Leiberstein’s marriage to one Janine Poreba was in The New York Times.

Melora Hardin dishes on what’s ahead for the very pregnant Jan on The Office. She also talks about Holly Flax.

And what about Stanley, is he going to call on Michael’s behavior again? Watch this video.

And what does Dwight have to say about a baby Dwangela?

Speaking of Dwight, I mean, Rainn Wilson, listen to his radio interview with Philly’s Rock Station 94WYSP while promoting The Rocker.

Ed Helms was on The Daily Show last night! I missed this one.

I also have not seen this before, but watch Steve Carell talk about his son, Jack, on Letterman.

How did The Office game with Mindy Kaling in Scranton turn out?

“The Office” actress, writer and producer Mindy Kaling was on hand to promote the show’s new game as well as to play some fun games with fans. Her giggly, girl-next-door attitude was refreshing to the many fans who woke up early on a Saturday morning to enjoy a little “Office” fun.

More than 100 people came out for the event to meet ditsy office worker Kelly Kapoor from their favorite show. Some were dressed as their favorite character while others were proudly wearing a Dunder Mifflin T-shirt.

The event started early with a 2K race around the mall. The rest of the day was filled with a look-alike contest, trivia contest and a beet eating contest.

It doesn’t seem NBC has an idea about what it wants to happen to The Office spin-off or Amy Poehler for that matter. No, wait…let me correct that. It seems like they have TONS of ideas in mind and can’t decide on what to deal with first.

It doesn’t seem NBC has an idea about what it wants to happen to The Office spin-off or Amy Poehler for that matter. No, wait…let me correct that. It seems like they have TONS of ideas in mind and can’t decide on what to deal with first.

Initially, news came out that Amy Poehler was going to leave SNL and head to the spin-off. Then immediately after that news went to press it turns out that the real story is — she’s heading to an entirely different show managed by the same people running The Office (headed by Greg Daniels); and it won’t be a spin-off after all. And the other day we find out, NBC wants to do both:

NBC co-chair Ben Silverman says the network is not only doing a Greg Daniels comedy starring Amy Poehler, but is also still pursuing a separate “Office” spinoff.

“They came up with two ideas,” Silverman says. “One that is totally a spinoff and planted in ‘The Office’ and may involved characters from ‘The Office.’ The other is a new concept that’s set stylistically similar to ‘The Office.’ We decided to put all our energy into getting Amy. We literally pursued her the entire year and it is incredible we were able to land her. Amy will never appear in the world of ‘The Office.’ The show is not a spinoff. It does not come directly from the world of ‘The Office.’”

That said, “We are also going to be continue to pursue the spinoff as well,” Silverman says.

Is your head already spinning?

Let me sum it up for you:

Amy Poehler = Leaving SNL. For new primetime show on NBC. Thought to be the The Office spin-off. Not anymore. It will, however, have the “sensibilities” of The Office.

Office Writers (Greg Daniels and Michael Schur) = Still with The Office. Going to work on the new Amy Poehler show. Will still work on The Office spin-off.

With the writers from The Office dividing their time between the main show, Amy Poehler’s comedy and the still-in-the-plans spin-off…hmmm, it doesn’t seem like a grand idea. One show is definitely going to suffer in quality. Everyone knows how good the writers and the show runner for The Office are, but does NBC realize they are not super human?

Also, with the spin-off talks, no one has made mention of this guy again. Is he still in the plans?

With Microsoft’s gaming console partnership with Netflix and NBC Universal, shows like Heroes and The Office will be available for streaming via the Xbox 360 real soon.

From Hollywood Reporter:

Microsoft kicked off the E3 video game conference Monday here by announcing a new deal with Netflix to enable Xbox 360 owners to play movies on demand through their consoles.

Under the agreement, Netflix’s Watch Instantly streaming-movie service will be playable on televisions connected to the console without any additional software or hardware.

Created as a PC service, Netflix has been partnering with consumer electronics companies to make Watch Instantly a TV experience. Netflix previously struck deals with LG Electronics and Roku.

A relationship with Xbox has been expected since Netflix CEO Reed Hastings joined Microsoft’s board of directors last year. The service will be available at no additional cost to Xbox Live Gold members who also are Netflix subscribers.

The deal could boost Microsoft’s efforts to turn the Xbox 360 into a digital entertainment hub, and it potentially gives Netflix access to more than 12 million Xbox Live subscribers.

Netflix has 8.2 million subscribers to its DVD-by-mail service, which boasts 100,000 titles, though only 10,000 of them are available to Watch Instantly users.

Also at E3 on Monday, Microsoft announced a deal with NBC Universal to add its high-definition TV shows and movies to Xbox Live. Among the films and series set to become available this week are the trio of “Bourne Identity” films and the TV shows “Heroes” and “The Office.”

Microsoft also used their E3 press conference to showcase plenty of upcoming titles, including “Gears of War 2,” “Fable 2″ and “Fallout 3″ that are squarely aimed at the hardcore player.

But the Redmond, Wash.-based company also seems to be going after the casual audience as well, unveiling a new software interface that will feature customizable avatars similar to the ones found in Club Penguin, Habbo and other popular virtual worlds.

By using the avatars in a new platform called Live Party, users will be able to watch their Netflix movies with as many as seven of their friends. The avatars also play a major roll in the rollout of several game shows debuting on Xbox Live this fall through a partnership with Endemol. Among the first shows will be an online version of “1 vs. 100″ featuring virtual characters but real prizes.

That Netflix deal only impacts Xbox Live in the U.S., but Microsoft announced a separate content deal for Europe with MGM International and Constantin. Microsoft Interactive Entertainment Business senior vp Don Mattrick said the new agreements bring the total number of movies and TV shows available for download and purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace to more than 10,000.

Microsoft also showcased several new games with a distinctly Hollywood feel, including a new version of “Scene It? Box Office Smash” and Codemasters’ “You’re In the Movies,” which comes bundled with a camera and lets users create, edit and display short movies and film trailers.

E3 runs through Thursday.

The biggest news related to anything The Office over the weekend was Amy Poehler’s confirmation that she is indeed going to be in the planned spin-off. And since we’ve had some site issues a few days ago and I was out sick, I only had the chance to provide the update today.

Anyway…so, yes Amy Poehler has confirmed with The Associated Press — she is heading to primetime. The earlier rumor that she’s leaving Saturday Night Live (SNL) to do the new show which will be a mid-season replacement, is true. But more developments about the spinoff have come into play since. And apparently, it isn’t so much a spinoff, but rather, it’s a new show altogether.

Nikki Finke from Deadline Hollywood Daily has reported that showrunner Greg Daniels and NBC had different concepts to where the spinoff should head to. Eventually, Daniels won over his boss and will instead take Poehler and the new show to “an unrelated series with an ‘Office’-like tone and vision.”

Incidentally, Amy Poehler is the very first SNL performer to ever earn an Emmy Nomination (Best Supporting Actress) for playing Hillary Clinton. She and husband Will Arnett celebrated her nomination with Ice Cream shots, keeping away from any alcohol as the actress is currently pregnant with their first child (I’m telling you, that baby is good luck!).

Amy is due to give birth in October but the couple still has no idea what the baby’s gender will be.

On what his audience should expect at his stand-up show: “It’s like you’re in a basement chilling with friends and family. Like a picnic. Hey, you might as well bring some watermelon.”

On his most memorable Office moment: In the episode where Michael is researching on Wikipedia on how to fire employees, Robinson’s character Darryl chats with the boss about the online encyclopedia. “For the first two takes, I was deadpan, I didn’t laugh,” Robinson remembers. “But Steve was too funny, making faces and what not, and I was cracking up. If you look closely at the episode, you’ll see me smiling a bit.”

On working with Seth Rogen in "Pinapple Express": “His improve skills are amazing. You truly got to be on your game working with him.”

On working with Kevin Smith’s movie "Zack and Miri Make a Porno": “He’s laid back and knows exactly what he wants. He is truly one of the coolest dudes ever. Kevin isn’t the type of director who’s going to be out of there as soon as the shoot is over. We went out for dinner, went bowling, it was great.”

Craig Robinson is also in the cast of the upcoming sequel "Night at the Museum 2" and has appeared on other TV shows like Friends, Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm and The Bernie Mac Show.

THR reveals that Amy Poehler’s name has been thrown and linked to talks about the spinoff last April but the rumor has since fizzled out. It’s now back on again, especially after the success of her movie with Tina Fey, "Baby Mama".

But certain issues have yet to be considered, such as her presence on Saturday Night Live and the fact that she is to give birth in the fall.

The report is after the cut…

"Amy Poehler might be joining her "Saturday Night Live" pal Tina Fey as a primetime player for NBC. Poehler is said to be in negotiations to star in NBC’s spinoff of "The Office."

NBC and creator Greg Daniels have been mum on details about the project. The only actor cast in the project so far is comedian Aziz Ansari, but there’s been speculation that the show might be built around a name actor, similar to how the original "Office" is anchored by Steve Carell.

Poehler’s name was first linked to the "Office" spinoff in April, shortly after NBC announced the project at its "infront" presentation and before the release of Poehler’s first starring feature, "Baby Mama," in which she shared top billing with Fey.

After the movie’s big opening weekend that elevated Poehler to a bankable film star, the rumor went dormant for a while until resurfacing with a vengeance in late June, when serious talks with the networks are said to have begun.

If the deal closes, Poehler, a key member of the "SNL" cast and "Weekend Update" co-anchor, will follow in the footsteps of Fey. She also left "SNL," where she shared the "Weekend Update" desk with Poehler, to topline an NBC comedy, her Emmy-winning "30 Rock."
NBC and Poehler’s reps at Endeavor and 3 Arts declined comment.

Poehler would leave a void on "SNL," where her gallery of memorable characters includes Sen. Hillary Clinton.

Another issue is Poehler’s pregnancy. She is due in the fall, and the "Office" spinoff is scheduled to debut after the Super Bowl in early February, though that might change.

Fey’s 2005 pregnancy delayed production on the pilot for "30 Rock."

One other good news stemming from the recent announcement that Amy Ryan is indeed returning for a five episode appearance next season is the opportunity for more scenes between Holly Flax (Amy Ryan) and Kevin (Brian Baumgartner). Remember when Dwight told Holly Kevin was kinda slow and so she had to treat him differently? How could anyone forget it… I thought it was one of the highlights of the finale. The two had such a good chemistry and timing together, the whole thing worked.

With Holly’s return, will fans get to see more of scenes like that or will Holly realize the mistake? In a recent chat with the press, Brian Baumgartner says he that there will be a lot of Kevin-Holly interaction to look forward to and that he’s glad to be working with the actress again —

"You know, I have recently heard how it is going to play out and I can only say I guess at this point that it will play out from here. You know, we’re still so far off now and obviously everything can change. But I was so thrilled that she’s coming back. She was fantastic to work with, I thought she brought a great new color and level to the show. She’s a fantastic actor and was really fun for me to work with. And it really — it was fun for Kevin to be able to play in that way as well.

I mean some people said it was sort of a joke that had been setting up unbeknownst to anybody for four years but I feel like when it played itself out it was very, very funny. It — well it did very well in our table read, I’ll say that. And yeah, I’m thrilled she’s coming back and I do understand that she and Kevin will have some more interactions coming up the first part of the year."

And many of the show’s fans, I know, are ecstatic she’s coming back! Can she stay permanently?
