The Office: Two Good News
Things are beginning to pick up, aren’t they? With the Writers Strike almost a done deal, we are looking at the return of those shows we’ve missed for three months. And according to TV news reports, The Office should be back in production to deliver four to five episodes beginning March until the end of the season in May. We should be expecting some eight to ten episodes for the series.
Showrunners, like Greg Daniels, are expected to go back to work today, while writers are to follow on Wednesday. In case you’ve forgotten, The Office is supposed to be working on the episode, Dinner Party, the week the strike began. I’ve posted a few spoilers to that over here.
The other good news this week? The team of Paul Lieberstein & Michael Schur just won an award for EPISODIC COMEDY at the recently concluded WGA Awards. This is for the episode, The Job, which was Season 3’s series finale. Here’s a recap to that episode, as a refresher. 30 Rock has Best Comedy series, while Mad Men was given the honors for Best New Series and The Wire has been chosen for Best Drama.
