Tonight’s Episode: “Branch Closing”

by Staff Writer

I think the title of the episode speaks for itself, right?

The TV.com description for “Branch Closing”:

Jan delivers the bad news to Michael that the Scranton Branch is slated for closure. This leads Michael on a quest to keep up the staff’s spirits up. Meanwhile, everyone imagines what their lives will be like in the wake of the closure.

Seems like Dunder Mifflin Inc. has finally had enough. In a real world that whole place would have been closed down. Especially with all the racism and sexism Michael seems to dish out on a daily basis. Not to mention the pointless (but hilarious) activities Michael makes his workers do.

Whatever the case may be, it seems that Scranton may be closing its doors for good. Or maybe Stamford moves over the the Scranton building, I don’t know. Either way it would seem to me that one of the sets is going to be scrapped, if this all does take place. If it’s Scranton, I’ll miss the set. I’ve grown to love it. It’s cozy. The Stamford branch seems too professional.

I’m really excited to see what happens tonight. Really, it’s all up in the air with what’s going to happen. But, from the previews it seems that Michael is taking it very hard. As we all know Michael just wants everyone to love him. But, if the branch ends up closing, Michael’s going to have even a harder time making people want to be his friend.

Any more thoughts for tonight’s episode?

So this means that we can finally see some quality Jim and Pam time. I’ve missed those two together! But there could be some drama with Karen, don’t you think?

  2. Aaron Says:

    Holli,
Personally I don’t think Jim and Pam will even get together. They’re both just too awkward. Also, it’s better story telling in my opinion. I bet Jim ends up hooking up with Karen, and Pam back with Roy sometime down the road, but we’ll have to wait and see.

Jim and Pam aren’t meant to be I don’t think. It’s all there, but they’re just too awkward around each other.

    Aaron.

  3. Sam Says:

oh man, I can’t wait for the synopsis of this episode! I have to say it was one of the funniest I’ve seen! and i’m SO glad Jim is coming back to Scranton!! It’s just going to be so much better. More pranks on Dwight! yipeeee! Oh, man, the faxes to Dwight from Future Dwight were pure gold, though!! hahahaha

  4. Aaron Says:

I loved the faxes too Sam!

You’ll see my review of this episode tomorrow, when I can get some nice pictures to go with it. The faces Michael pulled in this were spectacular.

    Aaron.

  5. Holli Says:

What I really meant was that I miss Jim and Pam’s interactions with each other. I just love the way they play off each other. I agree that if they really got together romantically that it would be a dead-end anyway. I just want to see them mess with Michael and Dwight some more. :)
